The climate of Bangalore is moderate and pleasant. In summers,
temperatures may rise up to a high of 33 degrees and fall to a low of 8
degrees in winters. There is neither any sharp rise in summers nor any
drastic fall in winters. Summers can be regarded as mild and winters as
cool. One of the few cities of India that enjoys pleasant climate

» By Air : Bangalore Airport is 8 km
from MG Road / Briage Road, the main city centre. Taxis and
auto-rickshaws are easily available for transfer to the main city. In
the domestic sector, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Sahara, etc.
connect the city to many national destinations that includes Kolkata,
Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram,
Madurai, Coimbatore, Pune, Mangalore and Kochi. Low cost airlines like
Air Deccan and Kingfisher have also introduced services recently. On the
international circuit, Bangalore is connected to Bangkok, Dubai, Kuala
Lumpur, Kathmandu, Muscat, Sharjah, Singapore, London, New York and
Paris by direct flights or immediate connections by Air India.
» By Trains : Bangalore is well connected to
many important national destinations through express trains. Local
trains also operate from smaller towns of Karnataka to Bangalore.
Bangalore is connected to Delhi by Rajdhani Express and Karnataka
Express. Daily services to Mumbai are also available in the form of
Udayan and Kurla express trains. Shatabdi Express and Brindavan Express
are the prominent trains to Chennai. Bangalore is also well connected to
Thituvananthapuram, Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mangalore by express
trains.
» By Road : Bangalore is a one most important
hub of road communications in South India and National Highways Nos. 47
and 48 connect to all major centres of the region. Additionally, a good
road network of the state highways provide links to all parts of the
state. Road distance to some of the important stations in the region
from Bangalore are - Hyderabad (565 km), Vijayawada (719 km), Mangalore
(349 km), Chennai (340 km), Mysore (140km), Ooty (300 km). The frequent
bus services also connects Bangalore with neighboring states. The
inter-state bus terminus is located in Subhash Nagar which is about 7
kms from downtown Bangalore.
