About Nightlife in Goa

It
is said that Goa remains awake all day and night. The fun loving and easy
going people of Goa love to party very hard. One may say that this is a
legacy of the Portuguese that the Goans have carried forward. While customs
and traditions play the spoilsport when it comes to other states of India,
Goa has no such problems with night life activities. In fact, to promote
tourism and attract international tourists, authorities have also relaxed
the rules governing night life activity. The numerous picturesque beaches,
beach resorts, restaurants, bars and dance clubs are the places where
partying goes on all night. During Christmas, New Year and the Goa carnival,
the nightlife activities receive further momentum. It is worth mentionable
that Goan nightlife attracts huge numbers of international tourists.
Various Activities and Events
Music and dancing are an integral part of Goan nightlife. Some restaurants
and bars on the beaches have dance floors churning out loud funky music all
night long. And most expectedly, party revellers dance and enjoy to the hilt
when the rest of the world sleeps. Another attraction is open air parties
under moonlight on the beaches. As a cool sea breeze blows all night and
moonlight illuminates the beach, dance and music reverberates the whole air.

Good
food cannot be far away when it comes to Goan nightlife. It is jocularly
said that food is a religion in Goa and Goans endeavour their best to
satisfy the taste buds of guests with the best of Goan cuisines. As the
night life parties go on, delicious Goan cuisine is served to the party
revellers. Seafood is high on the list in the parties.
Goa is also known for its rare and high quality wines. And wine brings
further charm to the nightlife parties. In fact, as is the case with
nightlife in all places, alcohol and smoking are also an integral part of
Goan nightlife. Cold beer and wine are doled out in large numbers as
partying goes on all night.
It may be mentioned that the beach resorts and other star category hotels
in Goa also make arrangements for night life parties in their premises.
Some sane advice in the end would be that tourists should keep away from
drugs and other activities of the like which have made their way into Goan
nightlife. Otherwise, a great party could run into unnecessary trouble.
