Munnar,

Anaimudi, the highest peak of southern India at an altitude of 2,695 meters
is available from Munnar. The virgin forests and tea plantations: Munnar
provides a great panoramic view of the unadulterated forests and hills.Quiet
walks and hiking around this small hill station is very popular among
tourists. The lush green tea estates of Munnar are a real treat to the eye.
One can witness and learn the entire tea making process right from plucking
to processing and packaging of tea at the Kundala tea plantation of Munnar.
» Attukal : People who have a flair for adventure
please make sure that you visit Attukal which is an ideal place for long
trekking. Attukal is ideally situated between Munnar and Pallivasal and is a

» Christ Church : This is an important place to
visit in Munnar. It was constructed in stones by the British in 1910. Today,

» Echo Point : Echo Point is situated at a distance
of about 15 km from Munnar and derives its name from the natural echo
characteristics here. The Echo point comes on the way to Top Station from
Munnar.
» Rajamala : Home of the Nilgiri tahr, Rajamala is
situated at a distance of about 15 km from Munnar, at a height of 2695 m
above sea level. The total number of Nilgiri Tahrs in Rajamala is estimated
to be over 1300.

Kundala : Situated at a distance of about 20 km from Munnar, Kundala is
a picturesque town of Kerala The main attractions of the place are the Golf
Course, which belongs to Tata Tea Ltd and the Kundala artificial dam.
Aruvikkad Waterfall is also near Kundala.
» Power House Waterfalls : The Power House
Waterfalls is situated at a distance of about 18 km from Munnar. On the way
to Thekkady from Munnar cascades down a steep rock 2000 m above sea level.
The place is beautified with the picture perfect Western mountain ranges,
and is an ideal place for a break en route to the Periyar Wildlife
Sanctuary.
» Malankara Reservoir : Situated at a distance of
about 6 kms from Thodupuzha is the Malankara Reservoir. Located on the
Thodupuzha - Moolavattom road, this artificial lake is accessible by road.
