This gives a great opportunity to the riders to understand local customs and traditions and also understand the tough desert life. The caravan also halts on occasions for lunch or dinner in desert villages where the local populace enthralls them with traditional dances and music.

But the most exciting part of the itinerary is halting at night in the midst of the desert and spending the night in tents. The silence of the desert could be experienced in these stays. Dinner may also be prepared on sand dunes as riders rest and converse in the light of a bonfire.
