cover maximum distance, horse safaris are thrilling but it is camel safari
through which the desert could be witnessed in the best possible manner.
» The Camel Safari :Camel Safari is probably the
most unique way to explore small villages in Rajasthan. Riding on top of a
camel is an exciting and soft adventure. However, riding on a camel back may
not be easy but becomes very enjoyable once the rider gets accustomed to it.
The camel safari itinerary is normally fixed in such a way that riders come
in close contact with the local populace residing in nearby areas and get a
chance to interact with them. This gives a great opportunity to the riders
to understand local customs and traditions and also understand the tough
desert life. The caravan also halts on occasions for lunch or dinner in
desert villages where the local populace enthralls them with traditional
dances and music.
But the most exciting part of the itinerary is halting at night in the
midst of the desert and spending the night in tents. The silence of the
desert could be experienced in these stays. Dinner may also be prepared on
sand dunes as riders rest and converse in the light of a bonfire. The
itinerary also does justice to the monuments and other places of historical
importance that falls on the safari route. But the main emphasis is on the
desert only. The safari makes all arrangements in the form of food, tents,
sufficient water, foam mattresses, medicines and other required items.
» Horse Safari :
Horse safaris are also fun but not as exciting and extensive as camel
safaris. The attractions normally remain the same in the horse safaris but
minor alterations could be made depending on itinerary route.
» Jeep Safari : A jeep safari is the fastest way to
explore the desert of Rajasthan. Jeep safaris are more comprehensive and
offers a smoother and comfortable ride. An open jeep is most preferred as it
offers a breathtaking view of all sides.
